(10,495 posts)21. Living in Texas this, unfortunately, all too common for me. People assume I am a tea nut like
them. I respond with questions at first, what has he done that has "ruined the country" (there most common refrain), they can never give even a semi legitimate argument. I follow up with several more questions based on what they have said, then I address each and everyone with facts and end by explaining the corporate psychological methods used by Fox and RW talking heads and explain that they have been brainwashed to feel angry, afraid and stop listening to any other viewpoint, and then it is absolutely time to leave. On the way out I ask them to think about what I said next time they sit to (somehow) enjoy watching the Boob channel!
