This study doesn't specifically speak to race, but it does show the underlying relationship that can then be extrapolated out to race based on other research like the one below about average prison sentences compared between lighter and darker skinned African Americans.

Also there is a relationship between how dark skinned an African American is and how long a prison sentence one would serve, with lighter skinned people being more likely to get a lesser sentence.

Likewise people who are considered attractive are likely to be paid better.
