Why would these stories break at the particular times they do? Tiger apparently had several affairs while touring, none of them scandalous, but right after Obama's big triumph in Oslo, bam, suddenly Tiger is an adulterer, horrors!! And for the next month it was wall-to-wall Tiger-bashing. This time it's Cosby who's getting the treatment, right after Obama's immigration speech. So it looks like the media are giving us "something else to think about."
