I wouldn't put a Paul candidacy in the same category as a Bush candidacy but your overarching point is well taken. Most folks on the left and right mostly talk to other folks on the left and right and consequently believe everybody thinks like them. When it comed to that phenomenon this website is on steroids.

Some of the talk about what is possible makes my head spin.
