In reply to the discussion: If the couple whose wedding was relocated isn't upset - why should anyone else be? [View all]SunSeeker
(51,516 posts)Obama's staff called for a tee time and got one. No one told them there was a wedding ceremony planned at the 16th tee on the golf course. It is reasonable for them to assume if there were "obstacles" the course staff would have said so and not given Obama that tee time.
The course manager made the decision to move the ceremony after Obama got the tee time and he did not consult nor notify Obama nor Obama's staff. Nor was there reason to. The manager moved the ceremony what appears to be just a few yards to a nearby and even more picturesque spot overlooking the origin spot, but with a lot more privacy. This did not appear to affect the wedding reception at all, which was presumably planned in the clubhouse or other sit-down location, as opposed to the 16th tee on the golf course.

This story is just another bullshit story trumped up to bash Obama.
