2. We all know that crap is king. Give us dirty laundry! ...

This is true of many stories. People don't want to hear (or post) the good stories. it's much easier to post the ones that will bring outrage front and center.

My best friend is a teacher at an elementary school. She works at a school that is overcrowded so she teaches in a storage closet and sometimes she shares it with another teacher and about 6 kids at a time. It's not a regular class as she pulls out kids who need more help. When it's too loud for the kids to focus, she takes them into a hallway with a small dry erase board and they sit on the floor.

Meanwhile she's undergoing chemo for breast cancer and is exhausted but she does not miss school.

You won't see a news story about her but her dedication is every bit as newsworthy IMO.
