...and i agree, however; "History is written by the winners" no matter who they are, or what techniques they use to win. Open minds, and meaningful debate, and sincere communication of our hopes are usually only used against us divisively when the other side takes a peek at what we are saying, and what we would like to see happen in the arena of political discourse and, progressive policy. DU is a sincere hub of progressive thinking... and i love most of what i see here, but all to often our optimistic hopes for a better country are used and twisted against us. Progressives in general have that "nice kid on the playground" image who shares, and lets others take turns before them, and more often than not it gets them taken advantage of by greedy, selfish people of the opposite persuasion. Not only are they rude and paranoid we might actually get our turn, they claim we stole their ideas or we cut in line. It's time to be more like the Rude Pundit and start calling BS by it's name and standing up for what is ours, because if we don't there will always be someone out there who is willing to take it from us and laugh, and then kick us in the face while we're down. Time to start fighting fire with fire, because the political arena we are in is a battleground, and it's bloody fight to the finish.
