Sen. John McCain took aim Monday at President Barack Obama's decision to tout the one-year anniversary of Usama bin Laden's death at the hands of US Navy SEALs, saying, "heroes don't brag."

McCain (R-Ariz.), who lost to Obama in the 2008 presidential election, last week accused the president of "doing a shameless end-zone dance to help himself get re-elected," with comments he made in advance of the May 2 anniversary of the former al Qaeda leader being shot dead in his Pakistan compound.

Speaking to Bill O'Reilly on FOX News Monday night, McCain said, "I say any president, Jimmy Carter, anybody, any president would have, obviously, under those circumstances, done the same thing.
