He was just barely in the military. Made films for training and PR purposes. Never got his hands dirty. And certainly never saw combat. Same thing for dubya. He never even served his full tour of duty. He cut out several months early from Guard duty. First in the so-called "champagne squadron" in the Texas Air National Guard and then to Alabama where he hung around the office on the base, bragging about how drunk he got the night before. Stayed there long enough to get his teeth fixed on the taxpayers' tab and then took off - early.

Dan Rather was correct.
