Karma: Elephant Hunter Crush Killed by Intended Prey [View all]

Last edited Sat Apr 18, 2015, 05:06 PM - Edit history (2)

Recently, we reported on how a former female Veteran joined the African activist entity "VetPaw" (see previous GD thread "U.S. Female Vet Now Hunts Elephant Poachers & Park Ranger Killers". Intolerably, there are areas in Africa, where money buys the right for the rich to kill for the fun of it. This time however, an established big game hunter was run over by the bull elephant he sought to murder.

According to the website (now on my hit/chit-list) titled "African Hunting.com" (picture provided by DailyKos diarist 'Leslie Salzillo' diary on the issue - giving credit to - attribution: AfricanHunting.com and Wikipedia/Paul Mannix - Elephant, Amboseli National Park, Kenya/Creative) - it is stated in condolence that;

Dear Chifuti Safaris clients,

It is with deep sadness to announce the passing of Chifuti Safaris professional hunter Ian Gibson. Ian was tragically killed by an elephant bull earlier today while guiding and elephant hunt in Chewore North (lower Zambezi Valley).

The details are just starting to emerge as we write this. However it appears that Ian and his client had been on the tracks of an elephant bull for approximately 5 hours when they decided to take a break and allow the client to rest. Feeling he was quite close to the elephant, Ian and his tracker Robert continued to follow the tracks in hopes of getting a look at the ivory as the client, stayed with the game scout to rest. Robert indicated the bull was in musk. They eventually caught up to the bull, spotting him at about 50-100 meters. The bull instantly turned and began a full charge. Ian and Robert began shouting in order to stop the charge. At very close range, Ian was able to get off one shot before the bull killed him. The scene was very graphic.

Ian Gibson was a fine man and one of the most experienced professional hunters on the African continent. He will be deeply missed by all…

We will provide more details as they become available

Tim and Dave

I'm against bullies, in any form. Managers, supervisors, brothers, pedo's, police, judges, racists etc., etc. And I'm especially an enemy of those who harm others, simply because they can. Keanu's movie about this planet ridding itself of the human race, to protect the planet - makes sense. Far too much evil upon this 3rd rock from the sun.

While Bad Will Hunting website sends its condolences to the family, my Facebook friends only had Karma on their mind. And all of them are in concur that this self defense killing of the hunter was WAY overdue. But before you are provided a plethora of FB sound offs, it is necessary to address the other issue that now looms large.

WARNING - We all know what is going to happen next.

Unfortunately, we all know they are going to have a mass hunt for this courageous bull Elephant, under one or another guise. Either another hunter to avenge his fellow/ friend; and or to protect man kind from the killer bull.

What about he bull-chit of murderous men?

Elaine Spencer “Of all the creatures, man is the most detestable. Of the entire brood, he's the one that possesses malice. He is the only creature that inflicts pain for sport, knowing it to be pain. The fact that man knows right from wrong proves his intellectual superiority to the other creatures; but the fact that he can do wrong proves his moral inferiority to any creature that cannot." - Mark Twain

Laser Haas The Bible is often/ has misquoted the facts in our Torah (10 sayings is actually not just 10). The misnomer is twisted to "Thou shalt not kill"; but is actually - "thou shalt not murder". ------- Self Defense is permitted as such (properly in this case).
