The Samaritan was of the group that the "good" Jews hated and snubbed and looked down upon. Yet Jesus lifted one of them up and singled him out as the true good example here.
There are tons of examples that can be found in the New Testament to reinforce this message. Tons! Almost too many to remember at once. Kinda indicates where Jesus's mindset was, does it not? Seems pretty doggone obvious to me. If there's one thing Jesus was, He was consistent.
