I always found the fact that they used the link between Obama and Ayers dumb. President Obama is just a couple years older than I. To insinuate he had anything to do with the Weather Underground is ridiculous. A grade schooler going around bombing places?

Actually, it makes perfect sense that a financial reporter would author this. The attacks were at least partially aimed at the finance/profit of war

Did you see the documentary Weather Underground? Or read James Michener's book, The Weathermen? I think that's the right name. Both really good
