(13,877 posts)As women, we had to go through pretty much the same process for our rights to be guaranteed...and I rest today on the enormous contribution of the early women's movement.
And someone coming up to Susan B. Anthony saying, let's work for All Rights, she would have sent them packing.
Our country formation as a white, male, patriarchial society...as were most at the time...has rebuffed but ultimately profited from the Rugged Indepence of the many cultural subsets.
But no subset has received the inhumane injustices of the AA race, starting with how they were forced into our society with literal chains. Thus, I strongly support their actions and their fledgling but growing organization.
And it did not escape my notice that the "first responders" were women...proud, Black Women. And as a Bernie supporter, I believe an important dialogue has begun.
