There's no way a passenger could comfortably take a gun out of a bag in the passenger compartment without having to do contortions and give people time to see what he's doing and rush him. However, if he takes a bulky bag into the toilet (and they are small enough to give anyone claustrophobia), he'll have the time to assemble his rifle, though not with much room. The doors are not thick, and if someone is familiar with this kind of firearm, the sounds of one being assembled can be heard over the sound of the train's wheels.
