I understand your point... she isn't directly thumping people on the head, she isn't burning people alive, etc.

Look at it from a siblings perspective. We share the same parents. She is saying our parents aren't her parents. She is gods child... it rubbed me the wrong way.

Also, the wording of the part "I am in service to my family" ... is more like a 16th century idea of a woman than a 21st century. And again, since this was personal, I seem to be taking it a bit more harsh than what the majority of DU responders feel. Well, I guess that is because its personal to me but not them.
