Although I live in NM, and don't even own a TV and so it's impossible to actually watch a game (no live streaming if you don't have Xfinity or Dish or something else) unless I invite myself to a friend's house or go to a bar.

I am not insulting Mets fans at all. I just pointed out how the entire Kansas City Metro area is behind the Royals compared to only a fraction of people in NYC. Heck, even a friend back in Kansas who has been a die-hard Yankees fan all her life and who said she didn't give a rip about the Series if they weren't going to be in it, is posting deliriously happy stuff about the Royals on her FB page.
