responsibility. After 911 there was virtually no discussion on any media outlet about who the hijackers were, where they came from, and what drove them. Bush called them "evil doers" and that was enough for most Americans who went into uber patriot mode and didn't question politicians who immediately passed laws to erode our freedoms and ultimately went to war with a country that had nothing to do with 911. The vast majority of Americans remain clueless and still reflexively view themselves as morally superior despite the bombs, bullets, and carnage we have inflicted on the Middle East. It's an incredibly myopic worldview.
