He states that Al Nusra was labeled "moderate". In fact, it was called a terrorist AQ group for years by the State Department. In fact, when the US started attacking ISIS, some early attacks were on an al Nusra related group. Note that Kerry has said that ceasefire will not apply to either Al Nusra or ISIS.

I Agree that both the NYT and WP and many key think tanks have all emphasized that Assad is the problem and have ignored the proportion of extremists in the opposition.

I agree that the Obama administration had many pushing to do more to eliminate Assad. But, it is clear that Obama himself has held them back. Even his confimation, Kerry pushed back on the "moderates" showing concern.

I wish that people like this man, who knows what is happening, would help Obama by making his opposition to the US foreign policy establishment more understood. By lumping everyone together, he is not helping.
