21. We have a government elected by a majority of those who vote.
Personally, I never let someone else make difficult choices for me.
I wish we lived in a system where the differences between candidates were purely choices of policy, and I would find any of them acceptable, even if not my first choice. Sadly, we do not. I know that I will vote for the Democratic Presidential nominee in November. Even the best Republican is Nuckin Futs, and third party candidates are spoilers with no chance of ever winning in my part of California. I do my best to elect a government that is closest to my own governing philosophy. I guess that makes me pragmatic. |
