A little pocket god that has buttons.

You push one, it says, "You're a good person."

You push another, "Your views are exactly mine, so you're always right."

A third gives you, "Everybody should think like you, you're so awesome!"

At least some are honest and don't need the mechanized prop telling them good or right or awesome they are.
