(62,325 posts)that 'no crime' has been committed. In fact, there are criminal investigations ongoing around the country, some of the resulting from the findings in the Civil Suits. It's amazing what has been revealed in the discovery phases of those lawsuits, with more likely to filed as time goes. It's a good way for a US Attorney to gather evidence without rushing to file criminal charges first.
Those poor banks, and their poor Law Mills, they did nothing wrong! Lol!
And, as I said above, the Bi-Partisan Senate Committee found 'evidence of criminal activity' and has sent their findings to the DOJ.
Which is why, as I'm sure you remember, the Banks tried to make a deal with homeowners that would include blocking any criminal charges. Thanks to the NY US Attorney General, that deal was modified making it possible to still file criminal charges where necessary.
