(15 posts)Yeah, I'm going to vote for Hillary, but man she doesn't make it easy - she, along w/her namesake has shaken my affinity w/the Dem's for a long time now. I was one of those naive suckers who imagined the progressive movement had found a leader in Bill, back in the 90's - yet, after his two terms, he destroyed the welfare program for the poor; dismantled jobs for the middle class, w/his NAFTA/trade polices; and systematically laid the foundation for wall street and big money (i.e., Glass-Stegall, for one), to become endemic influence in our party. So, while it might be easy for those who have supported Hillary from the beginning, it's rather disheartening to see another Clinton - Hilary has done nothing, on her own volition, to change the tone of Bill's ideology/policies - take the same office; engendering the same failed policies, that had such a negative impact on the poor and working class families, when Bernie Sanders provided an alternative to the entrenched establishment of the old DLC. But, like I said, I'm voting for Hilary - the alternative, is NOT an option.
