I cannot speak for right wing Christian evangelicals, but simply observing the examples of David Vitter, Newt Gingrich, Henry Hyde, and many other GOP politicians, sexual incidents involving a GOP politician are generally "forgiven" by right wing Christian evangelicals. This forgiveness is not, however, extended to Democratic politicians.

If nude photos of Michelle Obama had been discovered in 2008 the uproar would have been deafening from the Christian right and the GOP political establishment.
