(1,786 posts)Represents America as a whole. Thousands have died defending it and what it represents. I do not think America as a whole is all bad/evil it is not perfect but certainly not all bad.
Mr. Kaepernick is free to protest however he wants that is his right. I personally do not agree with his tack. There are better ways for Mr. Kaepernick (especially given his resources/position) to bring attention to the issue of police brutality that leaves the focus on the police and does not draw it away from them onto him. I also do not agree with the premise that if one does not agree with Mr. Kaepernick's method one is also a racist. That is a myopic view and adds no value to further the debate/conversation which is exactly what is needed to find a solution/resolution to the problem.
