He's a wonderful.person, lovely family. I've known him since he was a student interning on my unit as a new nurse. When his girlfriend came over, I attended their wedding & later celebrated the birth of their daughter. We have shared our homes, food & culture. His little girl rode one of my ponies when she just turned 2, and I held her tight so she wouldn't fall off. His daughter is a citizen. He & his wife are still in the process of becoming citizens. They are Muslim from the area of Nigeria that is infected by boko haram. He will not let his wife & daughter go to Nigeria. This country is lucky to have people like him here.
I have several other Muslim coworkers that I'm not as close to outside work but I value them all. Hard workers & ambitious.
He joked with me would I hide his family in my barn, and I joked back I would load up my shotgun & take up point in my driveway but neither of us think it's that funny. We talked about Anne Frank. All I can say to him is I will stand in front of him & his family if they come for him.

That is excellent, my dear gwheezie... CaliforniaPeggy Nov 2016 #1
