Just for one instance, experts expect a North Korea crisis soon over its development of nuclear missiles. How would you like to be an elector after Trump's incompetence lead to deaths of tens of thousands, or more, of Americans from an attack right here in the states?

North Korea, only one of many nations, almost certainly has the capability to destroy vital systems we depend on for life. And he doesn't even need a bomb for that, probably just shares Trump's fascination with the scope of destruction.

Or how about after our failure to contain Russia's aggression lead to the collapse of NATO and Russian annexation of Baltic states? Another far from unthinkable scenario.

But new questions have finally been seriously raised about the function and purpose of the electoral college itself. That will probably eventually mean quite a bit.
