the darkest day EVER was the day congress voted to give Bush the go-ahead on Iraq.

I remember becoming physically ill. I am haunted by it still and I firmly believe so much of problems today are a direct result of those actions.

Obama made it better for me. I never understood why anyone would want to take over from Bush but I am glad he did. But he could only shield us so long from the shit-storm Bush unleashed.

As my honey says: "We've survived scoundrels before...we will survive them again."

But, in my opinion, it won't be unscathed.
