Trust me on this. Once upon a time we had never heard of the Koch Brothers. Then, while doing a little online research about the Brooks Brothers Rioters (Where are they now?) I kept coming across the Kochs Brothers. Hmm. Very suspicious. So I wrote about them. And within two weeks Rachel Maddow was talking about them. And the rest is history.

Some things can not be put back in the bag once they are out. We can not keep Trump from pardoning a Russian Mob kingpin--and I don't really much care about mob kingpins, they serve a useful purpose, same as the IRA and the actual Mafia. But we can make Trump pay politically when he is forced to do it. And I don't think the guy he pardons give a rat's ass about the political fallout on Trump. He just wants it done. Trump is already political toast even before he is sworn in.

PS The reason the US press will cover this guy is the same reason Trump has been able to get away with stealing the election---our "we are all outsiders and rebels and outlaws at heart" mythos. The press loves a successful mobster the same way that the American people love a successful mobster. And the funny thing will be that even as Trump is reviled for doing this guy's bidding ("OMG! President Trump is that guy's bitch!&quot , the mob boss will be admired in the US by a lot of folks for being so clever.
