in the exhausted, frightened and angry department. But I do think that while "shunning" may be a little harsh, when you speak of "I'm done with these folks," it sounds a lot like giving up on them instead of trying to help them see the light.

They did have the opportunity to know how bad Trump was, and they did vote for him regardless. As I see it, our problem is that we have to find a way to reach these people--who ought, save the racism, by all lights to be Dems--rather than refuse to engage with them.
