but the responsibility for saving their workers' jobs lies with LL Bean and how they deal with Linda. They are aware of the movement to boycott them, and why; the ball is in their court.

BTW, this is how a boycott is supposed to work. Consumers pressure management to make changes or lose business. The fact that LL Bean is a fine company with values we support is actually irrelevant in this particular circumstance imo. They have a canker in their apple, and they need to cut it out.
