3. I worked at BMAC -- Boeing Military Airplane Company.

In Wichita, KS. If one failed ones DOD secret clearance, you'd be out the door, FAST!

I passed, I imagine easily as I am fairly straight laced and my politics have been, although active, conventional Democratic aligned.

But all the tech people there had secret clearances. It was a condition of employment.

It took months for it to come through. Even though I was in my mid 30's, the FBI interviewed neighbors from when I was a teen-ager! I can only imagine what else went on between the sheets, so to say.
