should be a leader in their own right that is process oriented and not ideologically oriented.

Their only concern is to increase registration, increase participation and candidate recruitment.

Getting bogged down in policy fights as part of a surrogate battle is idiocy. The interests of California and the interests of West Virginia are not the same. The Chairperson of the DNC should be concerned about getting more Democrats involved in every state and not get bogged down to ideological discussions which, in fact, they will have zero input into.
