12. Apathy is its own form of racism

It's the silence that has me and many other black people feeling like we are fighting alone. Where were all these town hall people when black people were screaming about our lives mattering? Where were they when we were screaming that Trump was going to set the clock back on civil rights? How in the world could anyone, paying attention, be apathetic during this past election? The only answer is that they didn't think it would affect them, but they were okay with it affecting minorities. Of course, this is general and doesn't encompass all whites, but let's get back to the original post. Where did all the people in those photos go? They watched and did nothing to stop evil. Nothing much has changed.
