I hit my neighbor's mailbox, broke the post, broke my side mirror and had to face the music with him. Although he was kind about it, it could have been a person walking (as there are no sidewalks, etc). I was less than a quarter mile from home(we were rural then). It could have waited no doubt. It woke me up.
