to get the health insurance they want or need. It's to save wealthy people and businesses to save money. One thing that no one has spoken about is the employer mandate. Employers with more than 50 full time employees MUST offer insurance and they have to pay at least 50% of the premiums. While most large companies were already offering health insurance, many weren't paying 50% of the premiums and/or the insurance was substandard.

Whole Foods, where I worked from 2005-2010, had a pretty neat health insurance plan with an FSA, BUT they didn't cover mental illness other than paying for medication. Need to go into the hospital for depression or get counseling like I did? You were on your own.
