18. It would make more sense if you made a case based on his accomplishments

I know he was in the military and I know he ran for Senate and lost - where the thing he got the most notice for was putting a gun together blind folded. He is young. Both Harris and Booker have far better resumes and they are not that old either -- and there is no reason if they were to run, that Kander could beat them in a primary. To say that Kander needs a "black" -- as the VP diminishes these two excellent Democrats - who are both more than the token black.

I think it is way to early to choose who we want for 2020. Now is the time to fight against losing everything that people worked so hard for for years. THAT effort might show us who the new faces and superstars are. If Kander leads on various efforts on healthcare, climate change or foreign policy ... he will gain recognition and he could become someone people want to follow. Being from MO, being young and having been a vet needs a lot more to be the nominee. Every nominee in my lifetime in the Democratic party has had more ... and until a year ago, I could even have said that for the Republicans.

I dn't see Gillibrand in your list. Foamfollower Mar 2017 #1
Kirsten Gillibrand would also be an excellent VP runningmate to Jason Kander. nkpolitics1212 Mar 2017 #3

Gillibrand,Booker, and Harris represent strong blue states. They would need to select Kander as VP nkpolitics1212 Mar 2017 #44
We should pick him..if we want to lose MO. Again, make a case for a winner, not a guy who could not TeamPooka Mar 2017 #47
