(81,220 posts)Any smirking or "is it wrong that I'm smiling?" references will just push them back into cold, locked-down denial. It'd be counter-productive, especially if they're just barely starting to see and grope around in the light. Their eyes will take some time getting used to the light, anyway, after being so deeply in the dark.
REMEMBER: It's mighty hard to admit you were wrong. Particularly when it means you may also have to admit you've been HAD. That's a tough realization to have to face. Especially when you're facing your own face in the mirror. So let them find their way. They might even remember you were a class act around them, which might help render them more favorably predisposed toward you. Zen, and maybe also the Law of Attraction, I think.
I'd want to crow, too. So I'd do it right here!
