that there are at least a few older GOP Senators whom would be leery of changing the vote threshold. I have to admit that the prospect of them going nuclear and Trump possibly being able to replace another Justice (i.e. Ginsberg) is worrisome but I guess that it's a chance we may need to take- to attempt to redress the Republican's obstruction of Garland. I seem to recall that the "nuclear option" was avoided back in 2005 with an agreement that Democrats wouldn't filibuster judicial nominees absent "extraordinary circumstances". I would think that, between Garland and esp. "Trussia", the current circumstances ARE extraordinary.
