4. Do not fall into the body count syndrome of the Vietnam War.

In the reports I read of the ISIS strike the body count was not emphasized or given. The issue or "success" is not by body count. That was the syndrome in Vietnam when the daily press reports were filled with enemy body counts and yet there was little or no progress.
The purpose of the ISIS strike was to destroy a tunnel system they used. That is why a MOAB was chosen because of its demolition capabilities.
It was not and is not about the body count, though that is a convenient thing to latch onto.
