9. The thing about that map is that it shows who won by county.

It's deceptive because many counties don't actually have a lot of people in them. There are a lot of mostly vacant but physically large counties that he won. However, the blue counties are the ones that actually have people in them. The county I live in has a population of 1.2 million and it's blue on that map, but it doesn't take up as much room as Trump's sparsely inhabited red counties. So basically he won a lot of empty real estate.
