7. i just think that this tactic rarely succeed.

First, its hard to.predict which repub is better to run against since they are all completely out there. Second, for it to work you would need a sizable number of dems registering gop and coordinating to vote for the "desired" gop candidate. Then, you also need a dem to run who would benefit from it.

I would rather spend my energy getting dems to run and voters to show up. Essentially. join an indivisible group or similar and work with them to support dems for running and organize actions to pressure members of congress. Thats what I have been doing since the election.
