so there is no reference to what is currently happening. What was creepy is an observance that each generation thinks they are the only generation that has had such a terrible presidency, but it has happened before and will happen again and perhaps the next presidential scandal would be worse than the Watergate scandal. I was 16 at the time of Watergate and thought it was so bad that it would never be allowed to happen again. Boy, was I wrong ... and IMO Trump/Russia/Trump presidency is far worse than Watergate.
