This is organized crime behavior. Trump hooked all the key Republicans he needed into his Russia deal, so if he goes down they all go down. Typical mafia tactic, they might have black mailed people into illegal activity, but once they also commit a crime, they own them.

Our country is being run like the mafia, and don't let people romanticize that, this is not like the Corleone family, this is more like the Mexican Drug cartels who harm everything they touch.
