5. There was a time when we were "proud to be an American."

Then Obama came along and gave us the hope that we might have reached the time when race, gender, or creed didn't matter and we could all finally unite under the American ideal that All Men Are Created Equal. Well, that surely united the Republicans, yes, it did, and they have been fighting ever since to roll back time and return us to violence and injustices of the pre-civil rights era.

Trump has exacerbated the evil scourge of white supremacy. From his exhortations to hate and bigotry and lawlessness that encouraged the mobs that flocked to his campaign to rise up, to his growing list of enemies who must be eliminated, Trump is just as much responsible for the murder and mayhem in Charlottesville as the Nazis and KKK who were there.
