When I was in high school, there always seemed to be older guys who were willing to date me.

These guys were not a whole lot older than me, but they were out of high school and lived in a different world

I would go on a few dates with them and they would want to get serious much too fast.

I chalked it up to them being out in the "real world" and "wanting to settle down and get married". I naively thought: "Isn't that what all 20 year olds want to do"?? At least that is what I thought.

I didn't have much in common with them. Nothing sexual happened. I found them suffocating and kept making excuses not to date them.

These guys seemed to lack self confidence. They were a drag to be around.

They needed to be with someone their own age.
