But you'd be hard pressed to find them anymore. I was and am supportive of exposing the back-channel machinations that got us involved in the Afghanistan and Iraq quagmires, and for a while it appeared that Wikileaks was going to do something in that direction. Unfortunately, it was a long-game sucker scam intended to dupe Americans. While Assange has gained a great deal of popularity among people who like to be duped with lies that appeal to their biases, most folks at DU have long since seen through his fakery.

Assange and Wikileaks have long since abandoned trying to dupe intelligent people; now they're going after the likes of Donald Trump, Jr. with a success rate they never had with liberals.
