Stone has arranged to pay other women critical of the Clintons. At one point he started a fund to cover the mortgage of Kathleen Willey, who accused Bill Clinton of making unwanted sexual advances toward her. Stone said Trump had contributed to it, a claim the Trump campaign denies.

It was also unclear who paid the travel costs to the debate for the Clinton accusers who came. Juanita Broaddrick, an Arkansas nursing home administrator whose allegations of rape against Bill Clinton were dismissed in court, told reporters that Breitbart Media, a conservative news outlet with close ties to the Trump campaign, paid her travel.
