19. There are some pretty outspoken Democrats in this district.

We're one of the few solidly Democratic districts in the state. This district went 52% for Obama compared to about 41% statewide. I think that's why so many of us are seriously upset that our recently re- elected state representative defected to the Republican Party last month before she was even sworn in. Thus the recall efforts and my newfound real-life activism. I mean, I've always been up for a good demonstration, carrying signs, picketing and stuff but just never got into the nuts and bolts of party operations.

It would be fun to go to the state convention, though.
