and unlike some people here at DU, I don't have a major issue with Supermax for the worst of the worst. Although I do feel I need to read up more on it. And I agree with you that there are some crimes so horrible that the people who commit them do not deserve to be sucking up oxygen from the rest of us. I just feel that the death penalty is more about who we are as a country then who the criminals are who commit these horrible crimes. We know they're horrible,. They can rot in prison for life. but I can certainly understand the sentiments of those who feel they should just be removed from planet earth.
