We are emerging from the barbarity of ANY animal taken by force from their natural habitat and forced to become appropriate viewing for humans. I've watched the same with elephants now being cared for ... after severe hardship for monetary profit.

At least the current zoos are trying harder, I'm not sure about circuses, so there is progress...I think.
